This is a no reserve penny auction for a Pietta 1851 Navy cap & ball revolver in .36 Cal. Serial number- 606948. This 1851 Navy is in good condition with tight lock up. Includes the original box. A very popular revolver for its time, the model 1851 Navy revolver was adopted by both the U.S. and British military. This .36 Cal model is available in the case hardened frame, with a 7.5" barrel. Its popularity continued after the Civil War being used by cavalry during the Indian Wars and Pioneers heading into the Wild West. It would be replaced by the 1873 Colt Single Action Army in 1873.
