This is a no-reserve penny auction for a CMP Service Grade Remington Rand M1911 A1 semi-automatic pistol in .45 ACP. Serial number- 2030912. This pistol is in great condition with an excellent bore for its age and comes with a 7-round .45 ACP magazine, CMP hard case, CMP Certificate of Authenticity, a technical manual, a cable lock, and papers!

This CMP Service Grade Remington Rand M1911A1 bears the "FJA" ordnance inspector’s mark of Lt. Col. Frank J. Atwood, along with "P" proof marks, "G" government contract marks, and a rebuild date code "ANAD 4 76." As well as a partially struck Ordnance Department inspection stamp.

Manufactured during World War II, this pistol is part of the later Remington Rand production line (1942–1945) designed for interchangeability with other M1911 brands to meet U.S. military needs. Between 1943 and 1945, Remington Rand produced over 958,000 pistols for the war effort, cementing its place as the largest wartime manufacturer of M1911A1s. This is a remarkable piece of military history, complete with provenance and ready to be appreciated by collectors.
