Arisaka Type 99 – 7.7mm

For sale is an Arisaka Type 99 bolt-action rifle in 7.7×58. Serial number – 27939. This Arisaka is still in fair condition and it appears the bore has been chrome lined. Unfortunately, this rifle has had the Chrysanthemum completely removed. The symbol just after the serial indicated it was produced by Nagoya Arsenal. The other serial stamp located on the bayonet mount matches the rifle. The Arisaka Type 99 was the standard issue of the Imperial Japanese military during the 2nd Sino-Japanese War and World War II. Rifles with the chrysanthemum intact are likely war trophies returned to the US by troops that fought in the Pacific War.
