For sale is a Beaumont-Vitali Model 1871-88 bolt-action rifle in 11.3×50mmR. Serial number- 2670. This rifle is in good condition considering its age. It includes a bayonet. The Beaumont-Vitali is essentially a box magazine conversion of the M1871 Beaumont rifle, featuring a 4-round non-detachable box magazine with a magazine cutoff. This rifle has multiple dates including an 1880 date and an 1889 date, this was likely added when the rifle was updated. We believe this due to the matching serial number on the butt plate and the barrel. The Geweer M71/88, better known as the M1871/88 Beaumont-Vitali, was a Dutch magazine-fed conversion of the Beaumont M1871 undertaken in the ex-Wapenfabriek Petrus Stevens facilities by De Beaumont-Soleil from 1888 until about 1895.
