For sale is a Colt Silver Star Special Edition semi-automatic 1911 chambered in .45 ACP. Serial number- SS00994. Manufactured in 1984/85, this rare special edition pistol is in excellent condition with some minor handling marks this pistol looks great. Please see all the photos to see the condition for yourself. It comes with the factory wood display case and a magazine. This is a rare production run of the Colt 1911 – so information is scarce. That said, a call to Colt has confirmed that Colt made 1000 of these in 1985, amongst the first stainless autos made by Colt. The gun is as sharp as it is rare and desirable. Based on the serial number this was one of the last pistols made in the series.
