For sale is a Mosin Nagant M38 bolt action rifle in 7.62x54R. Serial number- HB7777. Manufactured in 1942. There is a PW Arms import stamp. This M38 features a 20" barrel and internal magazine and the original full length wood stock. Features matching numbers on the receiver, magazine plate and bolt but a differing number on the buttstock. Also has a "hammer and sickle" stamp, a 1943 date stamp and a Izhevsk cartouche on the receiver. The M38 is essentially a M1891/30 with a shortened barrel and shortened stock (the M38 is 1000 millimeters (40 in) in overall length versus 1230 millimeters (48 in) overall length for the Model 91/30). This variant is different from the M44 as built to have a swing-out bayonet.
