For sale is a Remington Model 1903 bolt-action rifle in .30-06 SPRG. Serial number- 3175312. This 03 is in amazing condition. It features a "SA 10-42" firebomb stamp on the barrel indicating an October 1942 manufacture date. This rifle was manufactured just before Remington upgraded the Model 1903 to the Model 03-A3. Unlike an 03-A3 this rifle has the classic 1903 ramp and lift rear sight. While the 03-A3 has a peep rear sight that was meant to be more like the M1 Garand rear sights. The M1903, formally the United States Rifle, is an American five-round magazine-fed, bolt-action service repeating rifle, used primarily during the first half of the 20th century. It was famously used as a standard-issue infantry rifle during World War I and II. Today, it remains popular as a civilian firearm, a historical collector's piece, a competitive shooting rifle, and as a military drill rifle.
