For sale is a Remington M1917 Sporterized bolt-action rifle in .30-06 SPRG. Serial number – 30202. According to serial records, this rifle was manufactured in January 1918. This rifle is in great condition especially considering the age of this old battle rifle. The bore looks good, there is a CAI (Century Arms) import stamp on the barrel. Although the Springfield Model 1903 was the standard issue rifle of the US Army during WWI, the M1917 was the most common rifle carried by American soldiers during the war. The M1917 was designed to be sold to the British Empire during the First World War and is based on the Lee Enfield No.1 Mk III. When the US entered the war it was easy to rebarrel or Model 1917s. While tooling and production of the Model 1903 would take time to expand enough to meet demand for the war in Europe. V2-B6 Barrel Length: 26 Bore condition: Good Year Manufactured: 1918
