Up for grabs is a Ruger Super Single-Six revolver in .22 LR/Mag. Serial number-60-56554. This revolver is in great condition and comes with the original box, paperwork, and a .22 Mag cylinder with the red pouch and box. Mfg. in 1971. It does not have the transfer bar update. The “Convertible Single-Six” was introduced in 1961 and had both a 22 LR and 22 rimfire magnum cylinders, but still with fixed sights. Adjustable sights were added to the Old Model Convertible in 1964 and were named “Super Single-Six”, probably to compliment Ruger’s Super Blackhawk models. The “Super Single-Six” name stuck when the new models were introduced in 1973, still with the same meaning … adjustable sights and convertible cylinders vs the fixed sight “Single-Six”.
