For sale is a Smith & Wesson Model 1000 semi automatic shotgun in 12 gauge. Serial number- FB40726. This Model 1000 features a 28" barrel with a 2 3/4" chamber and a modified choke. Comes with the original manual and parts list as well as the original sales receipt. The Smith & Wesson Model 1000 is a semi-automatic shotgun offered in 12 and 20 gauge by Smith & Wesson during the 1970s and 1980s. The shotguns were developed and manufactured for S&W in Japan by Howa Machinery. The reason the Model 1000 performs when other autoloaders fail is the patented internal gas metering system that compensates for pressure differences in ammunition to control bolt velocity and minimize stress on the receiver and action. PLEASE NOTE that there is scratch on the bottom of the barrel and appears to be a crack in the underside of the stock. Is in otherwise great condition.
