Smith & Wesson Model 16-4 – .32 MAG – K-32 Masterpiece – VERY RARE

$2,299.00

For sale is a Smith & Wesson Model 16-4 revolver in .32 magnum. Serial number- BEH0445. This Model 16-4 is in great condition and comes with the original box. Features a 6" barrel with an excellent bore and a 6 round cylinder. The Model 16 was originally designated the K-32 Masterpiece and it was a companion piece to the K-22 Masterpiece and the K-38 Masterpiece. The K-32 was produced in small numbers from 1949 to 1957 and was then renamed to the Model 16. Model 16-2 and Model 16-3 were produced from then until 1974. The Model 16 was briefly reintroduced in 1989, as the Model 16-4, production continued until 1993 but they were distinct from all previous variations of the Model 16. They were available with three barrel length options: 4″, 6″ and 8 3/8″, all having a full underlug barrel. Moreover, they were chambered for the .32 Magnum cartridge, and so are distinct from their earlier cousins both in appearance and cartridge chambers. There were only about 8,800 16-4s made in the combined three barrel lengths (4", 6" and 8 3/8") making them collectable as well as shootable.
