For sale is a Smith & Wesson 39 semi-automatic pistol in 9mm. Serial number – 31271. This pistol is in great condition and comes with the Pachmayr rubber grips and (2) 8-round magazines. It is a no dash and has a very light trigger in single-action, making us believe it has had some custom trigger work. This was the first U.S.-designed double-action semi-auto on the market and later versions were developed to mimic the German Walther P38. Smith & Wesson employed many features of the Walther P38 including the decocting safety that disconnected the trigger and hammer and a lanyard loop.
