The L-Frame Smith & Wesson is a "medium/heavy" frame specifically designed to hold up to prolonged use with full-power .357 magnum loads, as well as any .38 Special ammunition. The 586 features a 6-round cylinder; and a full-length lug under the barrel puts extra weight out front to reduce muzzle flip. The revolver is constructed of carbon steel and has a traditional, deep Smith & Wesson blue finish. Rubber grips provide a secure and comfortable hold for enhanced shooting control.
