For sale is a Smith & Wesson Model 60 revolver in .38 S&W SPL. Serial number- 620140. This stainless steel Model 60 is in great condition and features a five-shot cylinder. It is a "No Dash" model 60 which we believe was Mfg. in the 1st year of production of 1965. PLEASE NOTE: The stamp pictured on the gun. We believe it may be an FBI-issued revolver but we are uncertain. This revolver also comes with an aftermarket grip. The Smith and Wesson .38 Chiefs Special Model 60 is a five-shot revolver that has been in production since 1965 and has the distinction of being the first regular production all stainless steel revolver ever made. The 1965 model's stainless steel finish proved so popular that there was a waiting list at local gun shops for up to six months to purchase one.
