U.S. Eddystone M1917 – .30-06 SPRG

$1,299.00

For sale is a U.S. Eddystone M1917 bolt-action rifle in .30-06 SPRG. Serial number – 1033576. Barrel Mfg date: August 1917. The rifle is in excellent condition and the bore is also in fantastic condition especially considering it's over 100 years old. The rifling is still bold and clear. The barrel is 1917 and has a Winchester W above the barrel date. The serial on the receiver dates to 1918 and there is an import stamp on the barrel. There is a good chance this rifle was provided to the British during WWII for the home guard before eventually making its way back to the US. Although the Springfield Model 1903 was the official standard issue rifle of the US Expeditionary Force of the early 20th century, the Eddystone was the most common rifle carried by American soldiers in World War I, this rifle is a must-have for World War I and World War II collectors.
