Colt’s popular snake gun revolver series was thrust into popularity among gun owners with its Python chambered in .357 Magnum. However, Colt’s relatively late entry into the large-bore handgun market raised the stakes with its Anaconda. Chambered in .44 Magnum, the Anaconda was introduced by Colt to compete with other .44 Magnum revolvers such as the Smith & Wesson Model 29 and the Ruger Redhawk and Blackhawk. Each Colt Anaconda is built with a double-action/single-action operating system and includes many of the characteristic traits first seen in Python. These include the ventilated sighting rib, full underlug, ramped front sight, and characteristic Colt cylinder latch.

Due to the rarity of these side-by-sides and lack of information on this specific shotgun, we reached out to the Buffalo Bill Cody Museum for an official manufacture letter and according to our newly acquired Cody Letter, this Model 21 was manufactured in October 1946. With the design and production promoted by John M. Olin, the Model 21 was one of Winchester’s finest shotguns with regards to quality, reliability, and strength. Although technically a production gun, each example was custom-made in terms of configuration, workmanship, quality, and attention to detail. The Model 21 was Winchester's effort to make a quality side-by-side shotgun to rival those of high-end makers such as Parker and Fox. The Model 21 has considerable collectors following as it is regarded as almost a custom-made shotgun. ⁠

This rifle is in fantastic condition considering it was manufactured date is 1881! The action is very smooth, the bore is surprisingly clean, the rifling is still nice and clear, not bad for a 140-year-old rifle. This rifle has a fairly low serial number and is a 2nd model Winchester Model 1873. The Model 1873 is one of the most famous rifles in American History. It is often coined "The Gun That Won The West" and served pioneers, Native warriors, cattle rustlers, outlaws, and lawmen during the Old West. It often features in Western Movies alongside the Colt Single Action Army as both guns could be chambered with the same round.⁠
