Check out this beauty! Here we have a Winchester Model 101 Pigeon Grade Lightweight Engraved 2 barrel set over-under shotgun in 28ga/.410ga. Only 250 sets were made! With the discontinuance of the Model 101 and its many variations, both dealers and collectors have created a lot more demand for this model recently. As a result, prices have escalated and the scramble is on to try and pick off these rare and desirable variations. D4Guns is excited to be offering up one of the early produced "Dollar Grade" Parker Bros. double-barrel shotguns! Based on the serial number, we believe this was manufactured in 1874. From 1869 until 1875, the startup years for the Parker shotgun, Parker didn't grade their guns. The guns are not stamped with a grade marking and the advertising of the time described the features and the price of the various styles but didn't refer to them by a standard name. These were referred to as "Dollar Grade". This is a rarity for Parker Bros. shotgun collectors given its condition, age, and variant.
