Arisaka Type 99 -.257 Roberts – Professionally Sporterized Hunting Rifle

This is a no-reserve penny auction for an Arisaka Type 99 bolt-action rifle in .257 Roberts. Serial number- 22544. A lot of sporterized milsurp rifles leave a lot to be desired as far as fit and finish. This rifle however, appears to have been done by a very talented smith. It features a Monte Carlo style stock, hinged floorplate, adjustable rear precision target sight and front bead sight. The customer we purchased the rifle from informed us that is has been re-chambered in .257 Roberts, however please verify chambering with competent gunsmith before firing. The bore is in very good condition. There is some stubborn carbon buildup, but the lands are distinct, sharp and bright.
