Arisaka Type 99 – 7.7mm -FULL Chrysanthemum! No Import! Monopod! Dust Cover

This is a no-reserve penny auction for an Arisaka Type 99 bolt-action rifle in 7.7×58. Serial number – 32020. This Arisaka is quite a find! It has a good bore and is in good solid condition, especially considering the vast majority of Type 99s were heavily used. This rifle does not appear to have an import mark and includes the monopod, airplane sights, dust cover, and intact Chrysanthemum. The receiver and bolt serials are matching! The bore is bright with the rifling intact. Rifles with the chrysanthemum intact are likely war trophies returned to the US by troops that fought in the Pacific War. The Arisaka Type 99 was the standard issue of the Imperial Japanese military during the 2nd Sino-Japanese War and World War II. We believe this Series 3 – Nagoya Arsenal rifle can be dated to between 1939 and 1945
