This is a no reserve penny auction for a Colt Government Model Series 80 M1991A1 semi automatic pistol in .45 ACP. Serial number- 2766638. Manufactured in 1997. This M1911A1 is in great condition with an excellent bore, and comes with the original hard case, manual, two grip sets, and one magazine.

When the M1991A1 was first introduced in 1991, Colt recognized that the market was already awash in custom 1911 pistols. The Colt Model 1991 was therefore conceived to remain true to its roots and reasonably faithful to the original design. A hybrid of the M1911A1 military model redesigned to use the slide of the Mk. IV Model 80; these models aimed at providing a more "mil-spec" pistol to compete with imported pistols from manufacturers such as Springfield Armory and Norinco. A modern variant of the legendary Colt 1911, the 1991A1 is a very high-quality, economical and utilitarian handgun that shows off it's military roots and would be a great addition to any collection.
