This is a no reserve penny auction for a Colt Python revolver in .357 Mag. Serial number- E43688. This revolver was manufactured in 1972 and features a factory high gloss nickel finish. Other than some minor micro-scratches in the finish, this revolver is in excellent condition with a great bore to match!

Pythons are highly sought after and are known for their reliability and superb accuracy. The Colt Python is a .357 Magnum caliber revolver manufactured by Colt's Manufacturing Company of Hartford, Connecticut. It is sometimes referred to as a "combat magnum". It was first introduced in 1955, the same year as Smith & Wesson's M29 .44 Magnum. The Colt Python is intended for the premium revolver market segment. Some firearm collectors and writers such as Jeff Cooper, Ian V. Hogg, Chuck Hawks, Leroy Thompson, Scott Wolber, Renee Smeets, and Martin Dougherty have described the Python as "the finest production revolver ever made".
