Colt Single Action Army – .44 SPL – 44 Special – MFG 1883 – 4 Click SAA – C

This is a no reserve penny auction for a Colt Single Action Army revolver in .44 SPL. Serial number – 101915. After running a serial number lookup, we've determined that this revolver was manufactured in 1883. Visible serials are matching as seen in the photos, and the action features distinct 4-click operation with tight lockup. It appears that this pistol has been re-barreled with a newer factory Colt barrel to .44 SPL, as the .44 Special cartridge wasn't introduced until 1908.

The Colt Single Action Army (also known as the SAA, Model P, Peacemaker, or M1873) is a single-action revolver handgun. It was designed for the U.S. government service revolver trials of 1872 by Colt's Patent Firearms Manufacturing Company (today known as Colt's Manufacturing Company) and was adopted as the standard-issued revolver of the U.S. Army from 1873 to 1892. The Colt SAA has been offered in over 30 different calibers and various barrel lengths. Its overall appearance has remained consistent since 1873.

Please refer to the photos as a few hairline cracks are seen on the undersides of the grip panels.
