Custom Colt Government Model 1911 – .45 ACP – Bomar Sight & Ultimatch BBL-C
This is a no reserve penny auction for a Custom Colt Government Model 1911 semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45 ACP. Serial number- 2758479. This Colt features a bushing-less Ultimatch .450 stamped bull barrel, Bomar sights, and skeletonized trigger. As you can see in the photos, the slide and frame have been polished and one magazine is included. After running a serial number lookup, we've determined the frame was manufactured in 1996. The pistol chambered and ejected a .45 ACP snap cap, but we have not test fired it.
The 1911 is generally viewed as one of the finest combat pistols ever designed and the first successful self-loading pistol. The 1911 was designed by American firearms inventor John Browning and is the oldest service pistol in the world, still used in over 25 nations for over 100 years; it has proven itself to be one of the most popular and timeless handguns ever made.
Please note, the hammer will occasionally fall when you manipulate the thumb safety. The safety almost acts as a decocker. Also, minor dings are seen on the sights.
