This is a no reserve penny auction for an E. Arthur Brown 97D Deluxe Rifle single-shot falling block rifle chambered in 6.5mm Bench Rest Magnum. Serial number- 05080030. This rifle is in great condition and comes with a scope base. E Arthur Brown Co no longer makes complete firearms but they do continue to make highly sought after, highly accurate barrels. For a while, they also manufactured complete 97D falling block rifles and BF hunting handguns. The list of national and world champions that won their titles while shooting these firearms is impressive. These firearms are tack drivers . . . literally.
The 97D is a small frame single shot rifle that's suitable for big game as well as small game and varmint hunting. It originally evolved from thier World Champion long range silhouette pistol action and accurate gun making process. The Deluxe 97D Rifle is configured with thier most popular, custom options. It features a 24" blue barrel, French Gray Receiver, scope mount, and swivel studs.
