Eastern Arms Model 1929 – 16 Gauge – Break-Action Shotgun – Stevens – Sears
This is a no reserve penny auction for an Eastern Arms Company Model 1929 single-shot break-action shotgun in 16 Gauge. Serial number – 34810. This shotgun is in good condition for its age with a great bore. It is likely that this shotgun was produced by the Stevens Arms & Tool Company for Sears Roebuck. When Sears sold firearms, they used the trade name Eastern Arms Company. In the first half of the 20th century, shotguns were quite popular, and companies like Sears took advantage of this by hiring firearms manufacturers to produce firearms for their stores and catalogs. Eventually, department stores moved away from selling firearms as people started to prefer name-brand guns. Furthermore, selling firearms has become more controversial in the United States. This shotgun can be used for varmint control, teaching new shooters, and upland game. Please refer to the photos for an overall assessment of its condition.
