It has some dings on the stock and has been painted black. This Carcano is an iconic piece of firearm history and would make any collection complete. A half-stocked cavalry carbine, with the unmistakable triangular folding bayonet; it is fixed to a permanent muzzle mounting, but hinges back under the stock, into a slot there. <br />The M91 was used in both rifle and shorter-barreled carbine form by most Italian troops during World War I and by Italian and some German forces during World War II. The rifle was also used during the Winter War by Finland, and again by regular and irregular forces in Syria, Libya, Tunisia and Algeria during various postwar conflicts in those countries.
