Franchi SPAS-12 – 12ga – Lever Safety & Folding Stock + Tail Hook – SPAS12

This is a no reserve penny auction for a Franchi SPAS-12 semi-automatic and pump-action shotgun in 12 Gauge. Serial number- AB0914. This shotgun is in excellent condition and features a folding stock and the lever safety that was recalled by Franchi but is generally considered more desirable by collectors. Included with this firearm is the original manual. The "A" date code on the receiver reflects 1982 as the year of production.

The SPAS-12 is a semi-automatic gas-operated shotgun capable of pump-action operation as well. With an Italian origin, the SPAS stands for Sporting Purpose Automatic Shotgun, although from the very start it was designed for law enforcement and military use. The SPAS-12 was successful as a law enforcement shotgun. It was hardly adopted as a patrol shotgun, but was acquired by many special military and police units. The SPAS-12 was sold around the world, but mainly in Europe and the USA. In Europe and the USA it was also marketed as a civilian shotgun, but in most nations, it was banned after a few years. It has been in seemingly limitless movies and videogames and is still featured in in new releases!
