This is a no reserve penny auction for a Golden State Arms Sante Fe Model 1949 bolt-action rifle in 7.5×54. Serial number- 89846. This rifle is in good condition with a fair bore and features a bayonet! One of last bolt actions designed and adopted before the widespread adoption of semi auto rifles the MAS 36 is a lesson in purpose driven simplicity. The MAS 36 was designed to be economical to make, simple to use and have an exceptionally long service life, all of which it does in stride. This model has been model has been modified by Golden State Arms and has had the barrel cut down to 18.5 inches and a manual safety added at the rear of the receiver.
