Iver Johnson and Harrington & Richardson made inexpensive hammered and hammerless Top Break Model 3 Clones that became infamous for being used by gangsters during the 20th century and in high-profile assassinations. Despite its reputation, in reality the H&R and IJ revolvers were an inexpensive self-defense option for those who couldn't afford fancy, more expensive Smith & Wesson or Colt revolvers of the same.
