Harrington & Richardson Young America Double Action – .22 Short – H&R – DA

This is a no-reserve penny auction for a Harrington & Richardson Young America Double Action revolver in .22 Short. Serial number- 1206. This revolver is in fair condition with some nickel finish wear and surface blemishes. The bore is in fair condition with visible lands and grooves and pitting present. It features a 2.5" octagon barrel and a 7-round cylinder. Please note that the double-action functions intermittently and does not engage the cylinder, the front sight blade is missing, and it has loose lock-up with no timing.

The Young America series, a line of compact double-action revolvers, was produced from 1884 to 1941, with approximately 1.5 million units made in .22 and .32 calibers. These revolvers featured standard barrel lengths of 2.5" and 4.5", with a few 5.5" variants. The series included models designed for black powder and later smokeless powder cartridges, as well as variants like the Young America Bulldog and the Young America Safety Hammer. The H&R brand has since been acquired by various manufacturers, including Marlin Firearms and Remington Outdoor Company.
