Marlin Model 24 – 12 Gauge – Pump Action – 1897 – Slam Fire!

This is a no reserve penny auction for a Marlin Model 24, 12-Gauge pump shotgun. Serial number- 103180. This pump shotgun appears to function as it should, and features a 30" barrel and a rubber butt pad. It is capable of 'slam-fire'. Surface wear appears to be consistent with age and use. The Marlin 1898 was an early shotgun model that was designed to compete with the Winchester 1897. It had a documented design flaw in the bolt locking mechanism that could cause injury. The Marlin Model 24 is a later, improved model that replaced the 1898, featuring design changes like a more secure bolt and different forearm mounting screws, with the Model 24 correcting the issues and reputation problems of its predecessor. This gun should be gone through by a competent gunsmith to ensure its safety. please review photos for exact condition. Please Note the wrist has a repaired crack, and the front sight is missing.
