Marlin Model 39 – .22 S/L/LR – 1932 – Case Hardened Frame & Octagon BBL !
This is a no reserve penny auction for a Marlin 39 lever action rifle in .22 S/L/LR. Serial number – HS20082. This 39 is in good condition and features a 24 inch octagonal barrel and case hardened receiver. The "HS" prefix in the serial number leads us to believe this rifle was manufactured sometime around 1932. Please review photos for exact condition, as this rifle exhibits minor blemishes consistent with age and use as well as a chipped stock/broken buttpad and some minor pitting. The Marlin 39 represents the oldest and longest continuously produced shoulder firearm in the world. The 39A is still considered one of the finest examples of a lever .22 rifle, and one of the most accurate .22 rifles ever produced. It is also the best-selling lever rimfire in U.S. history.
