PRE BAN Colt AR-15 SP1 – .223 Rem – MFG 1975 – Carry Handle – AR15 w/ Mag

This is a no reserve penny auction for a Colt AR-15 SP1 semi-automatic rifle in .223 Rem. Serial number – SP44588. MFG: 1975. This rifle is in good condition with fair bore and includs (1) 20RD Okay Industries Magazine. The bolt carrier and hammer both are stamped with the Colt "C". This SP1 is in pre-ban configuration, with a threaded barrel, and bayonet lug.

Over 20 million AR-15s can be found in the United States today, the Colt SP1 is an old-school AR-15 and the grand-dad of today's ultra-popular AR-15 platform. Looking as if they were plucked directly from the hands of a Vietnam soldier, today they are highly collectable. The SP1 was one of the first AR-15s available for civilians to purchase.

Please NOTE the upper was replaced with a newer Colt A1 Upper Receiver. Also NOTE that the buttstock/charging handle are newer production, and the Bolt Carrier is reshaped/ground down (NOT effecting functionality of the rifle).
