RARE 1 of 40 Webley & Scott Model 728 – 28 Gauge – XLNT Upland SxS – C

This is a no reserve penny auction for a Webley & Scott Model 728 side-by-side in 28 Gauge. Serial number- 137461. This shotgun is in great condition for its age and comes with a take down case. Features includes a 2 3/4" chamber, 14 3/4" length of pull to the forward trigger, 1 9/16" drop at comb, 2 3/16" drop at heel, and ejectors. We are unsure of the chokes.

Webley & Scott is one of the oldest British gunmakers, tracing their origins back to 1790. They are also one of the most prolific makers, best known today for their production of civilian and military handguns in the late 19th and 20th centuries. They also have produced, and still do make some fine shotguns. This example is particularly rare, only 40 Model 728s were made between 1966 and 1968.

Please refer to the photos as two very minor hairline cracks are seen on the stock and corner of the forend. Also, some handling wear is seen on the top of the butt.
