The Ruger Model 77 Mark II wasn't sold to the public in the .222 caliber configuration. This feature, combined with custom artwork, makes the Carpenter rifle a truly unique find!
This was originally issued with 1" Scope Rings and a Laser Etched Leather Sling – Scope Rings and Sling not included.
Along with detailed engravings on both sides of the Receiver; the bolt is finely engraved and the Floorplate is Roll Engraved with an early Steelworker and the dates 1889 – 1996 – The Right Side of the Barrel reads – Carpenter Technology Corporation ~ 100 Plus Years of Progress – The Receiver identifies this rifle as 367 of 2440
The Ruger Model 77 Mark II features a controlled feed Mauser pattern action with a flat bottom receiver and an integral recoil lug, one piece bolt, full length Mauser type extractor, fixed ejector, steel hinged magazine floorplate, generous ejection port for fast loading from the top of the action, square bridge action with integral scope mount bases, and an innovative diagonal bedding screw.
