RARE Winchester Model 42 – .410 Bore – FIRST YEAR 1933 – M42 – 410 – C

This is a no reserve penny auction for a Winchester Model 42 pump-action shotgun in .410 Bore. Serial number – 3866. This shotgun is in exceptional condition for its age with an immaculate bore! This lucky find was manufactured in 1933, which was the first year of production for the Model 42. It features a 28" Barrel, 3" Chamber, 14.75" Length of Pull, a Fixed FULL Choke, and a Vent Rib.

Built by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company starting in 1933 and produced from 1933 to 1963. First pump-action shotgun designed specifically for the .410 Bore. It was the first .410 shotgun built to handle the 3-inch shell, alongside standard 2.5-inch shells. Production paused during World War II (1943) and ran again from 1947 to 1963.

Designed by William Roemer as a scaled-down version of the iconic Model 12, roughly 164,800 units were made. It is often called "Everybody's Sweetheart" and remains a prized collector's item today.
