Remington 700 XCR II Stainless – .300 RUM – Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation
This is a no reserve penny auction for a Remington Model 700 XCR II BDL Stainless bolt action rifle in .300 Remington Ultra Magnum. Serial number – S6717386. This 700 Stainless is in great condition with an excellent bore and it bears the markings of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation on the hinged floor plate, with it's synthetic stock wearing a Realtree Camo Wrap. The second generation XCR II rifles launched in 2010. XCR stands for Xtreme Conditions Rifle. Remington designed the XCR for extreme weather and extreme conditions with an emphasis on rugged durability and superb performance, and features a corrosion resistant finish over the "stainless" metal. This 700 has a 3+1 capacity.
On top, the 700s are drilled and tapped for scope mounts. At the bottom of each 700 is a crisp Remington X-Mark Pro user-adjustable trigger that’s factory set to 3.5 pounds of pull pressure, but users can adjust it from 3 to 5 pounds. It is nickel-plated, corrosion resistant and housed within a glove-friendly oversized trigger guard. There is also a hinged floorplate and sling swivel studs. In back is Remington’s own Supercell Recoil Pad that soaks up felt recoil by 54% compared to other similar pads. These much-appreciated traits and characteristics help explain the remarkable popularity of the Made in USA Remington 700 family of bolt-action rifles.
The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) is a conservation and pro-hunting organization, founded in the United States in 1984. Its mission is to ensure the future of elk, other wildlife, their habitat and American hunting heritage.
