This is a no reserve penny auction for a Remington Model 76 Sportsman pump-action rifle in .30-06 Springfield. Serial number- 8276896. This rifle is in great condition with a fantastic bore and includes a magazine. Remington Arms introduced an affordably priced slide action hunting rifle in 1984 called the Sportsman 76 Pump which was chambered in the ever popular caliber of 30-06 Sprg. This rifle is similar in appearance and design to its more expensive counterpart, the model 7600, while having some cost cutting features that did not detract from its safety and reliability such as simpler open sights and an uncheckered hard wood (Birch) butt stock and forearm. The Sportsman 76 Pump enjoyed a short production life of only four years when it was discontinued in 1987.
