Remington Model 11 – 12 Gauge – 12ga – Semi – Auto 5 – A5 – Rem. Mod.
This is a no reserve penny auction for a Remington Model 11 semi-automatic shotgun in 12 Gauge. Serial number – 11855. This Model 11 features a 28" barrel with a raised Simmons Gun Specialties rib. Modeled after the iconic Browning Auto-5, the Remington Model 11 was one of the first commercially successful semi-automatic shotguns, debuting in 1905. It holds the distinction of being the first autoloading shotgun manufactured in the United States. Designed under a licensing agreement with John Browning, it served extensively with both civilian hunters and the U.S. military, even seeing action in World War II as a training and guard weapon. Its distinctive "humpback" receiver gave it a recognizable silhouette, earning it a place in firearm history as both a technological milestone and a beloved sporting arm.
Please refer to the photos as multiple cracks are seen on the stock wrist and missing/cracked studs are seen on the rib.
