Remington Model 11 – 12 Gauge – Like Browning A5 – Poly Choke
This is a no-reserve penny auction for a Remington Model 11 semi-automatic shotgun in 12 gauge. Serial number- 437460. This shotgun features a poly choke on the end of the barrel with a fixed Full barrel and a 2 3/4" chamber. The "BK" stamp on the barrel leads us to believe that this shotgun was manufactured in 1941. The shotgun looks good for its age but please be sure to see the photos to determine the condition for yourself. Introduced in 1905 as a licensed copy of Browning’s Auto-5, the Remington Model 11 was commercially successful and provided hunters with a relatively reliable semi-automatic shotgun to compete with the numerous well regarded pump actions available at the time. The Model 11 and Sportsman are quite similar to one another, with the most notable difference being capacity. The Model 11 holds 4+1, while the Sportsman only fits 2+1 to comply with hunting restrictions in certain states. Additionally, there are slight dimensional changes to the fore-end, and a different cap tops the fore-end of each variant.
