Remington Model 141 The Gamemaster – .35 REM – Mfg. 1938 – Vintage Scope
This is a no reserve penny auction for a Remington Model 141 The Gamemaster pump action rifle in .35 Remington. Serial number – 20141. We believe this rifle was manufactured in 1938 (KG Barrel Code). This Model 141 is in Good Condition with a Good Bore and comes with a Vintage Weatherby Premier 3X-9X40 Wide Duplex Reticle Scope. The Model 141, which was introduced as an upgrade to the Model 14, featured a white metal bead ramp front sight and a step-adjustable rear. Introduced in 1936, it was ultimately replaced by the Model 760 in the early 1950s. An innovative design, the Remington 141 Gamemaster is a takedown rifle that features a spiraled magazine tube that prevents bullet tips from contacting the primer in front of them. The .35 Remington is considered a fine round for deer, elk, black bear, and other medium and large game as long as ranges are reasonable.
NOTE: A number has been engraved on the underside of the trigger guard, It has been blacked out in the photos – The original rear sight is missing, and was replaced by a peep sight that is now broken. Also, a few small hairline cracks are seen on the stock wrist. This rifle has finish wear consistent with it's almost 90 years of age and use.
