Remington Model 591M – 5mm Rem Mag – Model 591

This is a no reserve penny auction for a Remington Model 591M bolt-action rifle in 5mm Rem Mag. Serial number- 1082249. This Remington is in good condition with a good bore but is missing the magazine and has some blemishes on the wood and metal commensurate with age and use, please see the photos. The 5mm Remington Rimfire Magnum cartridge was introduced in 1969 by the Remington Arms Company, which chambered two bolt action rifles for its use. Remington Models 591 and 592 hit the open market in 1970 with a plan to challenge the success of Winchester’s .22 WMR.
