This American Pistol is in great condition and comes with the original hard case, manual, 2 extra backstraps, one 12 round magazine and one 15 round. Ruger engineers focused on producing a firearm that would meet or exceed the US military's requirements for a service sidearm. The result is a semi-automatic pistol that performs flawlessly in the most extreme conditions; and is comfortable and highly controllable to shoot with great accuracy. The Ruger American is a striker-fired, polymer-frame pistol, utilizing the Browning-type locked-breech action with a unique barrel cam modification that reduces recoil by spreading the recoil impulse out over time, resulting in reduced muzzle flip.
