This is a no reserve penny auction for a Ruger Super Blackhawk revolver in .44 Mag. Serial number- 9028. This revolver is in great condition and comes with a leather holster. This Super Blackhawk was manufactured in the fourth year of production in 1962 before Ruger made the recall to add a transfer bar and added it to all "New" models of the Blackhawk, Super Blackhawk, and Single-six revolvers. Revolvers without the transfer bar are very desirable compared to their "New Model" counterparts, especially ones with a four digit serial number. The Ruger Super Blackhawk Single-Action Revolver is designed specifically to handle the chamber pressures and recoil of the powerful .44 Magnum cartridge. Common to all Ruger Single-Action Revolvers, the Super Blackhawk uses all coil springs in the mechanism that retain their power for ultra-durability (instead of leaf-springs).
