The Savage 12 Bolt-Action Rifle is specifically designed to deliver precise shot placement at long range. The 12 comes with a Bell and Carlson varmint/tactical short action stock, featuring full aluminum bedding block that extends from the grip to the front swivel stud, free floating barrel, and has a 13.75" length of pull. The Criterion Barrel Inc heavy barrel is a 1-9 twist free-floated for optimum accuracy potential. Savage's AccuTrigger® is user adjustable to obtain a light, crisp release with no creep; a lever mounted within the trigger body blocks the sear unless the trigger is intentionally pressed in the center. The basic bolt design assures that the locking lugs fully contact the receiver, holding the headspace to a minimum every time the bolt is locked.
