Savage Model 99E – .243 Win – MFG 1966 – 1899 – 99 – Lever Action Rifle

This is a no reserve penny auction for a Savage Model 99E lever action rifle in .243 Winchester. Serial number- 1110963. This Model 99E is in good condition and features a 20" barrel with a great bore and includes Weaver scope bases. After running a serial number lookup, we believe that this rifle was manufactured in 1966. Please see the photos as there are some blemishes on the finish. The Model 99, and its predecessor model 1895, is a series of hammerless lever action rifles created by the Savage Arms Company in Utica, New York. The rifle was extremely popular with big game hunters and was even issued to the Montreal Home Guard during the First World War. This was the top-of-the-line rifle during its hay day and its rotary internal magazine was revolutionary. This is a true vintage rifle still ready to take on hunting trips.
