Savage Model 99F – .243 WIN – MFG 1956 – 99 – Lever Action 1899

This is a no reserve penny auction for a Savage Model 99F lever action rifle in .243 Winchester. Serial number- 911605. This Model 99 is in good condition and features a 22" barrel, a vintage BALvar 8 2.5-8x scope, and a sling. This rifle also features the classic round counter. Manufacture date was 1956. The Model 99, and its predecessor model 1895, is a series of hammerless lever action rifles created by the Savage Arms Company in Utica, New York. The rifle was extremely popular with big game hunters and was even issued to the Montreal Home Guard during the First World War. This was the top-of-the-line rifle during its hay day and its rotary internal magazine was revolutionary. This is a true vintage rifle still ready to take on hunting trips.

Please note this stock a some light handling wear, it also appears to have three small holes in the buttstock.
