This is a no reserve penny auction for a Smith & Wesson 39-2 semi-automatic pistol in 9mm. Serial number – A273488. This pistol is in great condition and comes with two magazines and the original box. This Model 39 features a gorgeous high polish nickel finish. Smith & Wesson aggressively worked with the US Army to develop a new pistol and when the military decided to stay with 1911, this new weapon went on sale to the civilian market as the first generation of semi-automatic pistols. This pistol is a time capsule as it retains all the original paperwork, cleaning rod, and wax paper as if it was picked up from the factory yesterday!
