This is a no reserve penny auction for a Terni M.38 Carcano Carbine bolt-action rifle in 7.35×51. Serial number- C9999. This M.38 is in good condition and features a folding bayonet. Approximately 94,500 7.35mm Modello 1938 rifles were shipped to Finland, where they were known as Terni carbines (from the Terni stamp with the royal crown, the logo or seal of the Regia fabbrica d’armi di Terni arsenal where they were manufactured). They were primarily used by security and line-of-communications troops during the Winter War of 1939–1940, though some frontline troops were issued the weapon.
