This is a no reserve penny auction for a US Revolver Co Top Break Revolver in .32 S&W. Serial number- 12416. The U. S. Revolver Company was a trade name used by Iver Johnson Arms and Cycle Works on inexpensive revolvers that were made from excess parts no longer usable on the improved Safety Automatic revolver introduced in 1909. These revolvers were marketed to various mail order houses at reduced prices. What started as a way to use up left over parts turned into a major production item with nearly 700,000 being produced between 1910 and 1935 (hammer version) and 1910 to 1924 (hammerless version). The U. S. Revolver Company handguns were never listed in the Iver Johnson Arms and Cycle Works catalog.
